Tjustleden, Stage 2 Getgölen–Hjorted–Svarteström

Tjustleden is a hiking trail which meanders throughout the whole of Västervik municipality. The total length of the trail is 203 km, and it is divided up into nine stages. Tjustleden offers the hiker a varied and beautiful terrain through forests and cultivated land.

Stage 2 is approximately 18 km long, and at the start it passes through a small number of pastures. You pass the remains of an old mill at Uddekvarn before the trail comes to the southern tip of Långsjön. The countryside then changes into a beautiful large forest. Stop at Mörtvik for a while to see the well-constructed stone piers which lead out to the islands. You then continue north, where the trail follows the river to Svarteström, to complete this stage. At Isgölen, just before the end of this stage of the trail, there is the opportunity to extend the route by a further 12 km around Ankarsrumsslingan, which allows you to visit Borgberget, where there are wonderful views.
